The Will of Elizabeth Searle dated 21st July 1880: This is the last will and testament of me Elizabeth Searle of Kinburn House Brixton in the county of Surrey Spinster I bequeath my leasehold house abovementioned and in which I now reside with land and appurtenances and all the furniture and effects therein at my decease except money and securities for money to my niece Elizabeth Searle Spinster------- I give to my Executors hereinafter named in consideration of their kindness in accepting the office of Executor nineteen guineas each --------- All the residue of my estate and effects real and personal I give and devise subject to the payment of my debts and personal and testamentary expenses, equally between my four nieces. videlicit the said Elizabeth Searle, Ellen the wife of Henry Seyfang, Lucy Alice Jardine Widow and Mary Anne the wife of Richard Tyler, or the survivors of them at my decease absolutely as tenants in Common. But if any shall be then dead leaving a child or children, the child or children shall take the parents share.------ I declare that all gifts or benefits to females under this my will shall be for their separate Estates respectively and their Receipts notwithstanding marriage shall be sufficient discharges--------- I appoint the said Henry Seyfang of Lloyds Registers Office No 2 White Lion Court Cornhill and William Drummond of Croydon Solicitor Executors of this my will and I declare that any executor or trustee of this my will who shall be in possession of the law and employed under any executorship or trusteeship shall be allowed all professional charges which he would have been allowed to make if he had not been a trustee or executor------- And I revoke all Wills by me heretofore made.------ In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament set my hand this 21st day of July 1880. signed ... witnessed by Ellen Searle 166 Louise Road water Lane Stratford Essex Spinster Mary Ashby Servant to Miss Searle Kinburn House Tulse Hill Probate was obtained 3rd march 1888 at a value of £5650.18s.10d.
