Bequests:
1. To (second) wife Mary £20 and all such of his furniture which had belonged to her at the time of her marriage + life interest in £1900 3% Consolidated bank annuities + free use of the Little Parlour in Horne Court House and the chamber above (then in his own ocupancy) with 'free firing' The £1900 to be divided equally between all his children on her decease.
2. To Daughter Elizabeth the wife of John Turner of Bromley the £600 which her husband owed him.
3. To son John his messuage or tenement with the Barn Stable lands and appurtenances known as Goulds in the parish of Horne and the nearby land which the testator had purchased from Stephen Kirby and The Comminssioners of Inclosure respectively + £400 to be deducted from the £1500 which son John owed the testator, the balance to remain a debt to the estate
4. To son William his messuage or tenement lands hereditatments and premises in Lingfield then in the occupation of Henry Godfrey and also the adjoining lands purchased from the Comms. of Inclosure + £300
5. To son Stephen the £650 then owed to the Testator.
6. To sons Stephen and William jointly the properties in Middle Street Croydon then partly occupied by John Brooker Butcher
7. To son James the life interest in the freehold messuage with the Barn Farm yard Buildings and peice of land at Turners Acre and the adjoining land called Stark Yard Field which had been lately puchased of Davy Blunt in Croydon and after his decease for all his children lawfully begotten at 21 or if none to be sold up by the executors and divided equally between the testators children and the children of his daughter Sarah Skelsey
8. To Sarah, William, Ann and Elizabeth Skelsey the children of his late daugther Sarah Skelsey, £150 a peice at 21, the interest in the meantime to be used fortheir maintenace
9. To son Thomas the residue of the estate, including Horne Court House, subject to the provision above for Mary.
There are two codicils dated 9h June 1820 (!) and 8th May 1825 dealing with the terms of the bequests to James and Elizabeth

John married Elizabeth Doubell on 9 May 1780 in Tandridge 139. (Elizabeth Doubell was born in 1756 142, died on 17 Jan 1801 in Horne, Surrey and was buried on 23 Jan 1801 in Horne, Surrey 139.)
John also married Mary. (Mary was born about 1755 143 and was buried on 5 Nov 1828 in Lingfield, Surrey 144.)
